Celebrate the magical world of Harry Potter at Chadstone with a collection of experiences for all ages. From impressive hands-on workshops to iconic photo moments, this centre-wide takeover invites fans and first-timers alike to explore, snap, create and discover a little magic.

The program includes both free walk-up activations and premium ticketed experiences. You’ll even be able to try an iconic flavour, available exclusively at The Market Pavilion.

THE GREAT HALL

Lower Ground Level, outside Target

Enter a space evoking the Great Hall for the ultimate wizarding adventure.

Daily sessions for kids

Guided by expert hosts, visitors will step through impressive rooms, experience a Sorting Hat photo moment, solve puzzles and craft their very own wand to take home. This richly themed, hands-on workshop is perfect for Harry Potter fans looking for a truly memorable and interactive experience, as well as younger children yet to discover the magic of Harry Potter.

Children's Sessions:

Monday – Saturday 9am – 4:30pm

Sunday 10am – 5:30pm

*Easter Monday Public Holiday Monday 6 April 10am – 4:30pm

*ANZAC Day Public Holiday Saturday 25 April 1pm – 4:30pm

$5 per child. Free entry for accompanying adult (max. 2).

THE GREAT HALL

Evening Sessions (Ages 15+)

The evening sessions offer the same guided experience as the daytime workshops, with a twist. Guests journey through the Great Hall-themed space, take part in a Sorting Hat moment, solve puzzles and craft their own wand, enhanced with exclusive premium materials available only in these sessions. To complement the experience, each booking includes a $30 dining voucher to use at The Social Quarter, making it the perfect way to enjoy a magical night out at Chadstone.

THE GRAND STAIRCASE

Step into the impossible.

As though diving deeper within Hogwarts, the iconic Grand Staircase will appear beneath Chadstone’s signature gridshell roof - a spectacular Australian-first installation featuring towering staircases, golden frames and enchanted portraits. Visitors can imagine how it might feel to step inside the architectural wonder of Hogwarts themselves, though they should beware… the stairs may have a mind of their own.

HOGWARTS EXPRESS

Ground Level, outside Mecca Cosmetica

Completing the journey, a photo opportunity celebrating the Hogwarts Express and Platform 9¾, offers fans the chance to recreate the iconic moment of departure and capture the classic trolley photo as if they are preparing to leave the Muggle world behind.

HARRY POTTER HIGH TEA

AT HOTEL CHADSTONE

For those seeking a more indulgent experience, Hotel Chadstone will host a Harry Potter themed High Tea, featuring a spellbinding selection of themed sweet and savoury creations inspired by the beloved series. Set within the hotel’s elegant dining space, The Altus Rooftop Lounge, the experience offers fans the chance to enjoy a magical afternoon of wizard-inspired treats.

Gather your fellow witches and wizards, wear your House colours with pride, and prepare for an unforgettable afternoon celebrating 25 years of Harry Potter movie magic.

Harry Potter High tea is available in Altus Bar and Lounge from Saturday 4 April - Sunday 26 April 2026.

Seatings are available from Thursday - Sunday afternoons from 1:00pm with multiple seatings available on weekends.

High Tea is priced at $95 per adult, and $65 per child.

DO I NEED TO BOOK FOR HARRY POTTER?

Yes, The Great Hall Kids Sessions and Evening Sessions (Ages 15+) are fully bookable experiences. Walk ups will be accepted, subject to availability.

WHAT AGES IS THIS SUITABLE FOR?

The Grand Staircase is suitable for all ages however children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The Great Hall Kids Sessions are intended for children ages 3 – 15.

The Great Hall evening Sessions are intended for ages 15+ however children under 18 must be accompanies by a parent or guardian at all times.

Hogwarts Express experiences are open to all ages.

DO I NEED TO BOOK FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN?

This is a fully bookable experience and all individuals intending to participate (adult and children) must be covered by a booking.

IS THERE A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THAT CAN BE A PART OF A BOOKING?

Yes, bookings can take up to six (6) people (maximum 2 adults) per booking.

IS THERE A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF TIMES MY CHILD CAN ATTEND AN ACTIVITY?

Yes, you are only permitted to make Maximum One (1) booking per person.

IF I ATTEND THE GREAT HALL - KIDS SESSIONS WITH MY CHILD CAN I PARTICIPATE?

The kids sessions are for children only. Adult tickets are required for guardian supervision, attending guardians will not participate in or receive the activity.

Evening sessions are available Thursday to Saturday 6-9pm for guests aged 15 and over. Booking is essential. Please visit www.chadstone.com.au/harry-potter for more information.

DO I NEED TO BOOK FOR THE GRAND STAIRCASE?

No, The Grand Staircase is a Chadstone First experience. Simply sign up to Chadstone First at the event and join the queue to enter and experience the wonder of The Grand Staircase.

HOW DO I COLLECT MY DINING VOUCHER FOR THE GREAT HALL EVENING SESSION?

Your dining voucher must be collected at the Concierge Desk on Ground Level near Michael Hill prior to 9pm on the day of your booking. Please present your booking confirmation email and digital tickets for voucher redemption. Voucher is valid for use until Sunday 3 May 2026.

IS HARRY POTTER ACCESSIBLE BY WHEELCHAIR?

The Great Hall activity is wheelchair accessible. The Grand Staircase is partially wheelchair accessible. Please speak to one of our friendly team members for assistance at either activity.

IS THERE PRAM PARKING AVAILABLE?

Yes. we ask families to park their prams in the designated pram parking. Please be sure to keep your valuables on you at all times.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your confirmed booking time and have a digital version of your ticket ready for check in. Please be advised we may not be able to accommodate late arrivals.

If you arrive earlier than 5 minutes to your booking, feel free to pick up a coffee from one of the surrounding cafes, while you wait for your time slot.

We recommend planning additional time into your journey to secure a car park and navigate through the centre to the set.

WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO PARK?

Harry Potter - The Great Hall – School Holidays Program

You must be, or become, a Chadstone First member to book this activity. Chadstone First members receive email updates about the latest offers, events and news of what is happening in-centre. When booking for this activity, you will be invited to join Chadstone First if you’re not already a member. You must be 18+ to book. The activity is available to children 3+. All children under 15 years attending the activity must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian or parent. Bookings must be made via  https://www.chadstone.com.au/harry-potter. Limited walk-ins subject to availability. Bookings cost $5 per child. Limited availability sessions from 4-26 April, Monday to Saturday 9am - 4.30pm, Sunday 10am - 5.30pm, Easter Monday 10am – 4:30pm and ANZAC Day 1pm - 4.30pm. Each ticket to the activity entitles an individual to a 40-minute session. Please ensure that you do not book for more than 2 parents or guardians per group to ensure sufficient space within the activity. Harry Potter - The Great Hall – Evening Sessions (Ages 15+)

Bookings cost $40 per person, and a $30 dining voucher is redeemable per ticket at participating The Social Quarter dining retailers, to be collected on the day of your session from the Concierge desk. Chadstone – Harry Potter - The Grand Staircase

This activity is free and open to all, but persons aged under 16 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian or parent who is at least 18 years old. This event does not accept bookings and is walk-in only. Each entry to the activity entitles an individual to a 5-minute self-guided immersive installation featuring a staircase walk-through and a framed interactive digital display with Harry Potter themed animations. Chadstone – Harry Potter – Hogwarts Express

All persons under 12 years of age attending the activity must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian or parent who is at least 18 years old. This event does not accept bookings and is walk-in only.
